Richard Matheson wrote a novella called I Am Legend, about a man who survives a plague that turns everyone around him into...vampires. It was turned into a crappy movie in the sixties or seventies called The Omega Man with Charleton Heston. Vincent Price was in a version much closer to the novel called The Last Man on Earth.
I love horror, can you tell?
