Story Bites2...

Soldiers...demon gates...parallel worlds(not earths)...monsters...a city built like a labyrinth...a conspiracy by the government...a supersoldier program gone wrong...a castle beyond the labyrinth and behind its walls...a long forgotten lab in the center of it all...

Dream City

Sitting on the edge of the building's roof
Looking at the city
lovingly
My home away from home
Something twisted lives inside
gnawing, spitting, growling
I jump
Wings spread over the heart of the city
Currents move the wings
The dragon breaks free
The city in ruins
The city in fire
The city is a phoenix
It will rise again from its ashes
and the dragon will slumber once more
But it was just a dream
In a dream City

IRON MAN LIVES!

Robert Downey Jr. will play Tony Stark/Iron Man in the upcoming film version of the Marvel comic series. At his MySpace Iron Man Movie Group, director Jon Favreau wrote as the news was breaking: “It is true. Robert Downey Jr. is Tony Stark. I am about as excited as I can be. I saw what he can do and he is extremely enthusiastic about playing Stark. I can say with absolute certainty that there is no better choice. The humor and emotional dimension he brings truly raises the bar on this project. Get ready.”

I'm Keith!

Voltron. Coolness personified. Saw part of it at a Suncoast this past weekend while looking frantically for a copy of Nightmare Before Christmas. I know, it's not even Halloween yet, so what? It's a cool movie and when I tried looking for it last year, no chance of it being available at all. So there.

In case of Emergency the Exits are here, here, and...

So it was a really long week last week, a funeral, some family (tons actually) and some much needed R&R. No tests, just some good old fashioned writing and even...Drawing.
Yup, I finally picked up a pencil, some pens and a few color pencils along the way, and drew for the first time in six months. I hadn't realized it had been that long. But stuff gets in the way and you forget that you haven't drawn in that length of time.
One of things that helped get me back in the mood was Carla Speed McNeil's Finder comic.
I have to say it is the best thing out there right now, as far as sci-fi goes. She knows how to take you into a story and just immerse you into her world, which is fully thought out to the point where you can almost smell the recycled ozone of her dome worlds. It also reminds me of José Saramago's, The Cave.
Read both things, they are good for your brain.

A day in the City

Sid ran down the stairs and hurled his body over the railing. He landed inside a dumpster and was covered with brownish liquid that he did not want to know the origin of. He shook his head to clear it and then drew his guns...

And so it begins...

I've begun to write the story that's been in my head for over twelve years now. Afters tons of research and one of those hardcover magnetic opening journals you can get from Borders, I've finally begun to write the story down.

There's a City in my Mind...

What a great line from the Talking Heads song 'Road to Nowhere.'
But lately my dreams keep going to that same line. And in my dreams there's this city I know each and every part of. I know where to turn on what streets to run down, where to hide from people, what parking lots are empty, you get the point.
And I still don't know the name of the city. But I've been dreaming about it for the past ten years.
Someday I'll write a story about the city and the people that live there.

I'm LOST again...

Season 2.
Locke, the Hatch, Mr. Eko, Desmond, the Others.
What more could you want?
Oh yeah, More info on DHARMA, Alvar Hanso and the other Stations.
God I love LOST,
and the fact that I now have the entire second season.

Finally somebody had a great idea and got this cartoon back in the public light.
