Infrequent Writes

Sorry about the delay in sections. Been busy with school and work and getting engaged. Apparently this all takes up a lot of time.
But, I have been awarded the APLE grant and that takes care of roughly $19,000 of loans. Which in the long run cuts down on the actual cost of my education.
Anywho,

Several things of interest. FABLES, by Bill Willingham and Mark Buckingham, is just a great take on fairy tales and what has happened to them over the years. Some of that can be seen in the Brothers Grimm film. The way in which Terry Gilliam uses the folk tales to tell the story is much the same as Willingham does it.
I encourage anyone who reads this blog to try it out, its worth your while.
Other comics of interest: Brian Wood's DMZ from Vertigo, an oldie but still so relevant today, Wildcats Version 3.0: Brand Building, The Dawn Lucifer's Halo companion book, Ultimate Hulk Vs. Wolverine, by Damon Lindelof(co-creator of LOST), The Ultimates Vol. 2, 100 Bullets, and Infinite Crisis.

Some cool podcasts to check out: The Horcast podcast, The Official LOST Podcast, and Wordballon podcasts with great interview with artists and writers. Check 'em out.

More next time.
